In this episode of Drunken Fist, David and Justin talk about how this podcast came to be, and their thoughts on whether or not alcohol should be consumed by martial artists.

[24:55] The topic of beer being full of electrolytes is brought up, and David explains that while beer does have electrolytes, beer doesn’t provide those that you loose through heavy exercise.

[27:20] David explains how certain types of beer can hydrate someone.

[31:19] Beer is looked at for its ability to help alleviate delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).

[36:15] Justin and David discuss what David is drinking during the recording of the show, which was Jackie O’s Dark Apparition Russian Imperial Stout. They also talk about David’s quest to drink more Ohio craft beers.
